How do you fare when typing on your phone... easy? moderate? difficult? very difficult?
I do find it awfully difficult to type on my phone. I don't want "speech to text" solution as that would encourage my hand to get even lazier and more incapable. I'm probably seeking a kind of hand exercise to overcome this problem

I get it. It's variable. Sometimes (increasingly rarely) I'm rock steady. Sometimes it flaps about too much just held. I usually then try to rest it on something - like a closed glasses case on a table, or even my leg whilst sitting
Hello RoyProp, Not that I heard of. Also don't know that means though... my shaky hand is causing my fingers to flap all over the place, missing typing focus, so don't know what less sensitivity setting on device does to help. Many thanks for your suggestion though
Yes, for me typing is difficult and can be very frustrating. I use the voice to text function on my phone as much as possible. When I need to type longer letters or documents I open a window in Google Docs, which also has voice to text functionality. I personally don’t worry about making my hand lazier. I’m trying to get work done.
I’ve had that problem, for a long time now! I exercise my hands and fingers every day, to relieve stiffness and promote flexibility. I am always having to redo a typed word, because of my inaccurate typing. Hang in there!
Using a stylus has been very helpful, at times, when my hands are too shaky. Yes, the exercise relieves the stiffness, and rigidity, to an extent, and seems to promote better control of fine movements, which has been a big problem, for me, in the past! Flexing and tapping fingers up and down, and synchronized rapid movement exercises, definitely help! Sinemet helps with the shakiness. Flexibility is my goal, and exercise helps, but typing focus and steady fingers, although somewhat helped in improvement, is not improved on a permanent basis. The next day, I could have rigidity and stiffness, and shakiness, and need to exercise my hands just as much. Some days are better than others, but I attribute that, to the nature of the ‘beast’-PD!
My husband doesn’t have significant tremor, but he has found using his IPad and phone easier using a stylus (those things that look like an ink pen with a puffy pad on the end,). I bought a pack of 10 for under $10 on Amazon. As a bonus, take one to a store or gas station so you don’t have to touch a keypad. They have been very helpful for him.
I'm RT handed and my tremor is in my RT hand. I do as much as I can trying to get used to using my left hand, but it's hard. I use the swipe method it's easier for me.
I wrote this last night but I somehow deleted it before I sent it. I do that with or without a stylist. 😅. That was one of my suggestions.
Another one:. I assume you have a smart phone? You can change the keyboard to one that brings up "common" words that you can click on rather than typing the whole word. As you use it more it gets used to words you normally type.
At one time I thought Azilect was helping but not so much anymore.
