It is known that sleep is necessary for clearing cell waste from brain cells (previously posted). One wonders if this is the actual link.

Disrupted Circadian Rhythm Linked to Later Parkinson’s
I believe that is an early symptom
Yeah. I think, in the first instance, messed up circadian rhythms are suggested to be an early symptom of Parkinson's disease.
This can lead to further problems, including reduced cellular waste disposal, as you suggest. Thus there could be a vicious cycle.
I can solve sleep problems easily with a low dose of b3 niacin for short, occasional periods. The b3 niacin solves various deficiencies due to the PD, as from many literature on the web.
I keep hearing so many benefits to B vitamins for PD that I take a high dose B complex, which ends up being a relatively low does of each, since they are all in one.
IMHO not all the vitamins of group B would take them continuously. Remaining on point here is a research among the many that relates the three things, PD, B3 NA niacin, sleeping.
B3 as Niacin only or also as Nicotinamide (to improve sleep)?
i've tried b3 without results on sleep. Don't know if niacin may be different. Any advise for dosage?
my understanding is that sleep duration goes with meds duration and sleep ends a few time after the off condition start to manifest. For sure sleeping doesn't consume any Levodopa but also doesn't produce any dopamina (uses stored one)
Somic
No. b3 NA niacin is different from the others.
There is a lot of confusion about the various forms of b3, but in my opinion the b3 NA flushing form should be investigated by pwps because there are so many positive signs.
IMHO if the condition of the awakenings is determined by Off med the b3 will not serve. While it will help a lot with neurotransmitters such as triptophano by solving deficiencies. Everything you can find here:

I have been sleeping better since I have started to put a gel ice pack on my eyes and forehead before bed for around 20 min. (I move it around/ on and off to avoid overdoing it in any one spot). I started doing it one night when I had a migraine and I could not take any more aspirin since my tinnitus was already bad. I noticed the next day my ocular rosacea was much better and also noticed my sleep was improved.
There's a device called the Ebb which is a water filled cooling thing you strap to your head at night that is supposed to help with insomnia; I had considered trying it but it is expensive and seems like it might be cumbersome and uncomfortable. On a podcast a representative of the company said they have preliminary data that it may help with vasomotor symptoms of menopause and I think also headache.
Just a basic cold pack seems to be working so I will continue with it.
