I always thought it was just a fantasy. Blinking lights curing neurological diseases ? Come on...

BTW, Parkinson's also is mentioned in the article and Quanta is a serious publication.

Just a thought....blinking lights, strobe lights can bring on seizures in some people ??

Great find. This reminds me of infrared LED therapy. Vielight a Canadian company is one source.

This frequency therapy using sound and light could be the proverbial game changer.

Kerrington is right: strobe lights can bring on seizures. With that warning in mind anyone who knows that they don't suffer from that problem may wish to use an app that I wrote many years ago:

parkinsonsmeasurement.org/t...

This app creates images which it flashes to the screen.

I found that it didn't have much impact on me; perhaps worse tremor and sleepiness. But, I was running it much slower than the 40 Hz that the article talks about.

I have seen papers on using sound waves or music at certain frequencies. Also the use of infra red in technology like vielight. Different wavelengths do affect us. Blue light is needed for melatonin seratonin cycles. Who knows what wifi etc does!

Humans may be a bunch of chemicals but we also have electric systems. A human can be alive, then die and still be the same bunch of chemicals but you can’t reverse death! Makes sense that something other than chemicals needs to be put right to fix us up!

Look up binaural beats, gamma music. There are examples of music supposed to calm, create flow, genius , memory. Fascinating.

Also the way some chemicals work is because of how electrons are shared etc eg .

“Oxidation is the loss of electrons during a reaction by a molecule, atom or ion. ... The opposite process is called reduction, which occurs when there is a gain of electrons or the oxidation state of an atom, molecule, or ion decreases.“

I wrote a lot here about the Vielight810. it really did help my husband's cognition. Now that he has passed, I use it every day to hopefully keep my brain tuned up.

Hello Rhyspeace

I just want to take a moment to say I appreciate that even though your husband has passed, you are still answering posts, sharing what's helped him in order to help others. It's very generous of you and says alot on the kind of person you are.

Kindest regards

Thank you so much! My husbands journey was really hard. I spent so much time trying to"fix" things for him. It's a shame not to share that knowledge if anything can possibly help another sufferer or caregiver. I learned important things to try from this site and I am just passing it on.

His in person support group had many care givers still attending after their partners died. They formed a special bond with them.

Well I just put on some gamma music as hubby has been very stressed again lately after a long time feeling really good. He seems to be tolerating it if not enjoying it. It stopped and he wanted it back on. Reminds him of whales he said!

George has used a Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields mat for several years. It has the IMRS flashing lights and sounds in the eye mask . I believe that along with the other non-conventional therapies has helped his PD. He also uses a vielight.
