Anyone having issues with your teeth. Does Parkinson’s cause bone loss, et?
Why does the Neurologist always want to see my daughters teeth?

Suspect vitamin D deficiency or not getting enough sun.
Vitamin D affects the absorption/metabolism of phosphorus and calcium. Calcium deficiency can cause leaching of calcium out of bones/teeth. A high salt diet also depletes calcium.
"The study results demonstrated a high prevalence of osteoporosis and osteopenia in people living with Parkinson’s disease. More than half of the participants with early stage Parkinson’s disease had abnormal BMD levels, and lower vitamin D levels were found in patients with Parkinson’s disease (when compared with the control group). I suffered decay problems due to inadequate saliva until I started using a toothpaste of my own design featuring pH neutralized NAC, which breaks up bacterial biofilms.
I’d love to know your recipe. Can you share?
yes please. My husband who has really good teeth finds he suddenly had gum problem
Custom toothpaste aimed at breaking up bacterial biofilms:
One 00 size capsule of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) pH neutralized with 24% by weight calcium hydroxide,
About .5 g of calcium ascorbate
One capsule of serrapeptase. The serrapeptase is expensive and probably optional.
This mixture has to be preserved using a few mL of 40% ethanol, otherwise known as vodka. Without the preservative it goes bad rapidly.
Another product to consider is 3% hydrogen peroxide. You can start using it as often as you like. My husband and I both use it in our water pics, diluted with water, also for rinsing out the mouth and gargling, full strength. $0.88 a bottle in Walmart. Never bed breath again. Can't say enough good things about it. If you have ropey saliva is Cuts right through . Do it as many times as you need to. It heals your gums.
Yes, me too. Have had gum issues/disease for years, and things got worse, mouth-wise, after I started taking Rytary.
Most teeth problems are pure and simply to do with poor appropriate oral hygiene. Movement disorders are muscular and not to do with bones.
There are probiotics which might help. I was looking into them but got distracted. I'll find some info and add it here when I get more time.
