Haven't had it but it makes total sense --- by cleansing the colon you've essentially cleared the slate of your previous microbiota profile, which has an enormous influence in the body's overall health and immune system.
Sounds like a great time to "restock" your colon with a chosen healthful bunch!
In my veterinary practice I see a lot of bowel disease. Often the main sign is constipation, especially in Winter. Secondarily to that is sinus congestion and drainage. I studied acupuncture and know the two systems--colon and sinuses--are connected through meridians. The small intestine meridian goes from the nose to the colon. The large intestine meridian goes from the fingers to the spine. It's hard to explain to the client why I'm poking needles into the front paws to treat constipation. But it works.

Read the post on vitamin k from a day or so ago. It explains how it helps prevent plaque.
Only symptoms form loss of gut bacteria. Thus, a sensitive stomach until I built back the pro-biotics. After one colonoscopy resulting in a sensitive stomach, I ate a quart of yogurt and that took care of it. The first two colonoscopies I had polyps, and the doctor said, once you have polyps, you always have them. Then, on the third colonoscopy, I had none. I'm suspicious it was because I started eating raw almonds every day.
