I'm up 3-6 times a night and seem to be worsening despite drinking nothing for 3 hours before bedtime.

Jill... it is a formula for benign prostrate hypertrophy, a guy thing. It's advertised heavily in the US.

I have been on Super Beta prostate for about three weeks. the frequency of urinating has diminshed but it hasn't help the urgent need to go or the emptying of the bladder. I won't continue it.

Thanx... did it affect your balance any? My greatest risk of falling occurs at night.

No affect on balance for me.

I imagine it is better to go to the GP if you are having such problems, it can be treated.

You should not cut down on fluids.

Etterus not being a male i dont know about that drug but i do know that urinary symptoms are common in Parkinson disease.

What I have read is about 25% to 40% of people with Parkinson experience bladder symptoms. The two most common are nocturia, the need to urinate frequently overnight; and urinary urgency, the sudden, intense feeling of needing to urinate. in PD, the problem lies in the basal ganglia in the brain that helps to control the urination reflex. As urine is stored in healthy individuals, dopamine increases in the basal ganglia. The primary problem in Parkinson is that not enough dopamine is produced so there is not enough dopamine in the basal ganglia to allow urine to be stored. This results in urinary urgency and frequency.

Hope you find some effective treatment.

Thanks for a superb explanation. Throw in the prostate issue and it's not fun.
