Massage not message sorry
I sometimes sleep in a regular recliner when I cannot get comfortable or fall asleep in bed. It has an electric control which is very helpful, but no massage feature.
I have got into a routine of going to bed after the news at 11.00am, waking about 4.00 am, then getting up, taking one Madopar 25/100, (Actually I take the Canadian version, Prolopa) then getting dressed and going to a motorized recliner chair where I read, dose, watch TV until my wife gets up at 8.00am.
So I am getting about 5 or 6 hours sleep every night. I then snooze in the afternoon for about an hour.
Works for me.
My husband has a very difficult time getting comfortable enough to sleep in bed. If he's lucky, he can sleep for an hour or two. He sleeps mainly in a massage recliner that lays all the way back. The massage relaxes him. He also has earbuds in and listens to very loud music which seems to distract him from his restlessness and helps him sleep better in the recliner. Kind of odd, but it works for him.
Very similar to condor39 my partner starts the night in bed but wakes around 3.00 a.m and then finishes his night in a Lafuma reclining chair. He started using a Fitbit recently to track his sleep and ends up getting around 5 hours a night on average. Hell then nap a little after lunch but tries not to sleep after mid afternoon. He sleeps using a cylindrical pillow that gives more support to his neck. He also drinks CBD tea before bed. For that see Ian Frizell’s brilliant YouTube video youtu.be/J99x2KFg0-E.
I often use a massage chair at my mothers house
It def helps
I’m considering buying the leg compression “ pants “ as they would be more affordable & portable
Be well

I've been experimenting and studying amino acids for various sleep/mood/anxiety problems and started taking L-theanine (250 mg) and melatonin before bed 5 months ago and it worked but not 100%. I still found that I would wake up around 2 or 3 am though for urinary issues then it was hard getting back to sleep. Magnesium glycinate was recommended for relaxing muscles. I read that GABA helped with mood and anxiety which I think is the problem here. Adding those to my night time regimen has worked very well so now I take L-theanine, GABA, taurine (an amino acid that works along with the GABA), melatonin 5 mg and Magnesium. I am calmer with no leg muscle cramps, less anxiety and a better mood when I wake up in the morning. GABA and taurine can be taken again during the day (but L-theanine is recommended once a day... so at night). Ashwagandha root and 5-HTP (amino acid), are also supposed to reduce anxiety and improve mood. There seems to be a connection with lack of amino acids and anxiety/mood issues in many with PD....due to loss of serotonin, etc. I think it is an experiment to find out what works for each of us. We're all unique! (GABA and Taurine were not expensive and easily found at a local supplement store). Here's a link about Ashwagandha… examine.com/supplements/ash...
