Um yea lol it’s reported November 8, 2019!? Lmaooooo NOT
The linked article cites this one from MJFF Published November 8, 2018:

"Because this is pre-clinical data, the therapy needs to go through several steps (and many years) of testing before it may be ready and valid for human use. (Unfortunately, clinical trials are the steps at which many therapies fail.) The Michael J. Fox Foundation is enthusiastic about new targets and positive results. But it's disappointing when the media plays on patients' and families' hopes."
This is from the intro page. Typo?
“Does a new pill therapy stop Parkinson's Disease "in its tracks"? No, that's not true: News reports claiming "stunning results" in animal testing that promises to halt the death of brain cells with "a single pill each day" is sensational hype that overpromises, according to the Michael J. Fox Foundation -- which helped fund the research.
The stories originated from an article (archived here) published on November 8, 2019 under the title "World-first pill may stop Parkinson's". It opened:”
One needs to approach these trials with cautious optimism, taking into account the extremely low correlation between animal and human studies - JG
Here's the research article for the study discussed in the hyped news article.

RELEVANT:
"We show that activation of the microglial NLR family pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome is a common pathway triggered by both fibrillar alpha-synuclein and dopaminergic degeneration in the absence of alpha-synuclein aggregates."
Plain English: the same inflammation factor in microglial cells gets triggered both by clumps of alpha synuclein fibers and by dopaminergic degeneration in the absence of alpha-synuclein fibers.
I still say he needs a slap
