Tremors while at rest

When hubby tries to fall asleep tremors are much worse. Is this common? What can be done?

I had that problem when I started having symptoms and got scared. Now I calmed down and usually stay relaxed even if my hand shakes till get asleep. Eventually move slowly the finger or the palm from the shaking hand or even the opposite one and everything calms down.

This is the same as for me. When my meds are "off," my tremors--of hands , legs, and jaw--usually get much worse when I am lying down, making it difficult to fall asleep. (Of course, once I fall asleep, all tremors disappear.) Conversely, when I get out of bed, the tremors can sometimes decrease markedly for a while. I don't know why.
