Yes Starlove, Everyday is a challenge and we all do understand the hopeless days. What has you feeling down. And I never got a picture of your tattoo. How did that go? Karen

By the time you are ready to have kids (say, 5 years from now?), I believe that there should already be available some disease-modifying treatments. If not a cure, then at least something to halt the progression of the disease.

There are thousands of research scientists working on Parkinson's disease and other neurodegenerative diseases. Many hundreds of PD-related research papers are published every month.

I'm 63 years old and I'm looking forward to benefitting from these future treatments. It should be even more so for you, as you are only 24 this year.

Hang in there. Exercise, healthy diet, positive attitude.

Starlove, You are right it is hard for other people to understand if they don’t have the PD. And that’s unfortunate you feel like you can’t tell the people that are the closest to you how your feeling. As far as having children , have a talk with your OB/GYN dr about having children and your fears with your PD. You will be ok . We are all here for you. Karen

Above all we must remain positive. If not for ourselves for those around us. Keep the faith starlove.
