Thanks for sharing. In addition to large doses of B1 and B3 (TruNiagen), I also take a multivitamin with a high dose of B12. I remember feeling better almost immediately after taking the B multivitamin.

What B multivitamin do you take Jim? Most vitamin B complex also have B6, too much of which can damage your nerves.

It's called Super Methyl-SP from Apex Energetics. My chiropractor recommended it. 2 capsules are 41,667% of the recommended daily value...and I take 4 capsules per day. Ironically, one 500 mg tablet of Solgar B1 is also 41,667% of the recommended daily value and I take 2 or 3 of those per day. It does contain a form of B6, but not nearly as much. Thanks for the heads up. I'll address that with my chiropractor.

I believe B12 has helped me with my neuropathy issues, particularly with my arms going numb at night. It hasn't happened since I started taking 500 mcg of methylcobalamin in the morning. I use to take a vitamin B complex, but that seemed to make my symptoms worse. I think it's because it had the synthetic kind of B12 (cyanocabalamin) rather than the natural (methyl) variety.

My father has been taking B12 for several years per the PD nuro's advice. I just started him on B12 (CYANOCOBALAMIN) injections as well (1 injections).

For my uncle with PSP, his cognitive functions have gone down hill fast. I started him on B12 injections last week (3 injections so far).

They both are on HDT injections and Thymine capsules in between.

My father is stable with us trying to lower his C/L (120 currently) one every 3.5 hours. Dementia comes and go depending on his sleep and what was on his mind.

Not sure if B12 has any effort.

I started to post this yesterday, then it disappeared (I hit a wrong key!). When I was first diagnosed 7 years ago, I started seeing an MD for medical acupuncture (who unfortunately moved a year later out of my geographic area). I was extremely fatigued and she determined via blood test my B12 levels were extraordinarily low. She put me on monthly B-12 shots plus daily oral supplementation 1000 mcg per day. I had the shots for 2 years, until my blood level came up, and continue to take 2000-4000 mcg a day B-12. I have my blood levels tested every year. Some years, my levels come in high but generally on the high acceptable level. Definitely has made an impact in how I feel. Fatigue is gone; I do get tired periods during the day, but not the all-day drag-ass feeling I had before.

I checked, it's CYANOCOBALAMIN. 1000 mcg says 16,867% of daily requirements. I buy either Nature Made or Solaray or Solgar on Amazon, sublingual which is what the MD prescribed. She said when you swallow a vitamin, much of it does not get absorbed and recommended chewable or sublingual whenever possible. I take my D-3 and C vitamins in chewable form as well.
