Requip

My doctor prescribed Requip yesterday. I started taking it today. By the second dose, I knew I could no longer take it. I was so drowsy I couldn’t stay awake, also, it was causing me stomach pain and no appetite at all. I think I’ll just stick to my selegiline and my walking. Feeling defeated😰

You could try a small dose of Carbidopa / levodopa ER

You are not defeated at all. You are lucky. Dopamine agonists such as Requip have multiple potentially devastating serious adverse effects. Dopamine agonists should not be prescribed unless and until you are maxed out on levodopa.

Yes. I’m done with those type drugs. I’m going to try to go natural. & walk my buns off!!

I take Requip for restless legs which make it difficult to sleep. I take it at 7:30 pm because it makes me tired. I only take one tablet and was told it can cause excesses, such as out of control shopping, sex, drinking if taken in larger doses. I’m thankful I have it.

My Neurologist px it 3x a day & to eventually work my way up to 3mg 3x daily...no can do; I work at a very busy court house...so do you just have restless legs or is it a pd tremor?
