Hi everyone, just wondering, does anyone ever had TMJ. Also does anyone ever had epiretinal membrane.

Hi,yes I have TMJ and I have read some articles online that relates it to parkinson.There is even an article that says if you treat TMJ with a type of brace,you can relieve some PD symptoms.

I did TMJ treatment and it had some success with treating symptoms, but it was short-lived. We could not get it to sustain. It was very expensive and has permanently screwed up my bite.

Hi,sorry to know that you had complication from the TMJ treatment.I am amazed it was short-lived.Could this have been due to PD progression? I was almost going to try it,but I could get an expert in my area.I seldom have the TMJ symptoms,like the jaw click and slight pain anymore,since I started dosing up on sinemet.

If a TMJ doc/treatment screwed up your bite, then I could not be trusting of the expertise of that doc. I've had TMJ treatment, and yes, an oral appliance can help some pwp.

I have had surgery for an epiretinal membrane. The surgery greatly improved vision in that eye but caused endless problems with eye dominance. These are possibly linked to Parkinsons.

I have had the same surgery,and am having problems seeing properly late in the evening
