Inappropriate giggles

Unfortunately I exhibited my first ever giggle shit symptom emotional lability. It all started when I read joke just couldn’t stop laughing about. I believe levity is the best of healers. However when you cannot stop laughing it can’ be hurtful towards reputations. Any advice about how to address this embarrassment when it happens? To those who wonder about the joke it was “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believes the best speaker of the house would be Bose”

I ride the emotional roller-coaster as well but usually when im alone watching TV. To me AOC is more scary than she is funny!!! lol. In the grand scheme of all that we are all going through a little giggle or tear even in the most awkward environment is the least of what we should worry about! Stay Positive!!!

Oh I agree AOC is not funny the joke is not worthy of the laughter that ensued I knew Lability was coming but I thought perhaps a method Existed to stop oneself so no help you know of. Anybody know how to turn off the giggle fit switch?

Dextromethorphan is the active ingredient in Robitussin-DM cough syrup. You are not supposed take this with MAO-B inhibitors.

Well isn’t that something. Dext is an over the counter treatment for Parkinson’s and now I hear it helps with the Giggles. I’ll look into it if it doesn’t affect my blood pressure I’ll see if there’s a form of Dex that I can carry in my pill pouch. Thanks friend

There's a saying that "laughter is the best medicine." However, I can understand that inappropriate laughter or not being able to stop laughing would be a bad thing. My mother sometimes laughed inappropriately. I was embarrassed for her at those times. Other times, especially when we were alone, her sense of humor kept me laughing also. As long as laughing doesn't harm you or anyone else, my advice is to enjoy it.
