I like it!!! What's important is whether your wife likes it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.......2019.

Bailey,

You can go groutless, but it might be longer lasting if you use grout. With no grout, what can happen is fine dirt can get into the butt joints and eventually work its way down to the thinset bed and the dirt can start to break the thinset bond to the tile and the thinset bond to the concrete. In time, this can cause individual tiles to pop loose and break or require resetting. Only a 1/16th inch grout joint is needed and will be barely noticeable if you choose a blend color grout. The grout will also help hold individual tiles more securely. Also "buttering" the back of the tile and buttering the concrete separately will prevent "hollow sounding" tiles. I like the tile you chose!

That's a good choice rather than wood .

you're going to love it Bailey! we just did our downstairs guest suite (3 rooms - bedroom, sitting/kitchenette, bath) the week before thanksgiving with wood look porcelain tile planks - neutral gray and grouted 1/16 with a matching "silver" grout. we love how it looks and feels. The clean-up is a simple solution of water and vinegar. We are in so. cal and when it gets warm in the summers it will feel so nice and cool underfoot. we are renovating our entire house so next up will be the main living floor of our split level and we'll use the same tile for everything except the staircase (we have 4 dogs and there is enough tile traction that they don't slip nor do we)

You're doing a fantastic job by the way!
