I bought B1 ( as hydrochloride) 300mg from GNC, which I assume is HCL. But I also see remarks on the forum referring to HDT. What is B1 HDT? Which one should I be using?

I'm confused about B1 🤤
HDT = high dose thiamine as in thiamine HCL

I have 1 kg thaimine mononitrate.can I use it in place of thaimine hcl.bought by mistake
No
Roy answered exactly as I was going to. He won’t steer you wrong. He’s a great advocate for b1 thiamine hcl.
I'm confused too. I wanted to start hubby with PD on Thiamine and the one I bought doesn't say HCl or HDT. It just says B1, and under ingredients says Mononitrate, 250 mg. It also has 102 mg of calcium. Very hard to read. Is that ok for a start for him? He only takes Generic Sinemet once a day at night. He gets very sleepy late in the day, before his dose. Thanks.
You got the wrong type of thiamine, don't use it. The correct type is Thiamine HCI or Thiamine HCL depending on the manufacturer. Here is a link to a popular one that many of the forum members use :

HCI or HCL just means that it is the hydrochloride form or salt of thiamine, the correct type for oral use.
HDT = High Dose Thiamine.

BTW....hubby is also warmer than I am. I have Fibro and get cold easier so we have issues over thermostate. Is being warmer a trait of PD?
