PD and treadmills
What’s your question?
If your thinking about a treadmill I would definitely recommend one!
I mentioned this to the dogs (2 German Shepherds) and asked them if we should get a treadmill instead of going for a walk in the mountains, cos its 2 degrees out there and pissing down, and they told me to put my Barbour on and man up
A treadmill is a great tool for rehabilitation. Although it requires diligent attention to safety, it can be used for side stepping and even backwards gait. If you don’t have the basic skills to attempt such activities you can see a PT and learn how with safety.
I walk on my treadmill 4-5 days per week when I cannot walk outside, which is often this year due to abysmal amounts of rain we've been having. I average 15 minutes per mile, which is faster than I walk outside. You do have to get a fairly good one, that is stable when using, and mine has a shutoff switch I clip to the waistband of my clothes, if I don't keep up. It's a great time to watch all the video clips posted here!
Thank u I am happy to hear this. Made my day I use a cane and it is difficult to walk on roads or anywhere in country. I have been looking for one to help with my stability as well. Have a good day
