Increasing number of studies suggesting that Insulin Resistance negatively impacts dopamine functioning in the brain. Parkinson's symptoms, including tremors, stiffness, and slowness of movement, are caused by a lack of dopamine in the brain. This study suggests that nearly two thirds of non-diabetic people with PD may be insulin resistant, despite having normal blood sugar, and in some cases, despite being lean.

I know, I know. I made the mistake of having keyline pie for dessert tonight & felt terrible about an hour later, but it was oh so good going down.
Well, I just don't eat refined anything, including oil and sugar. My wife was diabetic 9 months ago and then we both went vegan high carb low fat (WFPB) and we're both doing great. My system-wide inflammation is super low, I have more energy for exercise, etc etc etc. She's no longer diabetic and she is enjoying being able to eat carbs again.
