There’s quite a lot of research on it. Dr Catherine Hamilton I think has a fb page and has plans of how you can make them. I’m been in contact with a men’s shed group in Tasmania which make them for $300. That’s a lot cheaper than Vielight !!

it s called the Dorset community mensshed on FB and they charge 300$ for it. not sure of shipping

Thanks Munchymunch. Got onto their FB site and someone responded within half an hour and even sent a photo. $300 plus $20 postage and now I'm simply waiting. The photo was of a very professional helmet run by a cordless battery from a drill. If I made it, it would have been a bucket and I probably would have stuffed it up somewhere. Tried looking up Dr Catherine Hamilton on FB and couldn't find her. Hundreds of Catherine Hamiltons but couldn't find one with a link to Tasmania.

Have you looked up senator Max Burr? that article was in an Australian newspaper and I m pretty sure that he mentioned Dr Catherine Hamilton in that. I ll check

Thanks for the mensshed site. Shall check it out. I've checked through hundreds of Max Burr sites and got lots of info but no link to communicate with him. I have the plans for the helmet but would prefer to buy a proper one from the mens shed as they do some great community service.
