I've heard this argued both ways. Currently, I'm of the opinion that we can do without as much as most people think, which will help with getting levodopa into the brain. This video, made by a doctor that I trust, discusses the studies: youtu.be/7NW32vLq340

Yes, we need about half of what we consume. I've read about this before. I don't think the video mentions it but consuming too much protein can overwork your liver. Do you know if eggs are still considered to be the best source? How can I calculate how much protein I'm eating?
No nononono and no!
Eggs and meat are about the worst way for you to get good protein!
Plant protein is MUCH better for you! Another video: youtu.be/lfmzK7G2L08
But it doesn’t taste as good
