See the work of Terry Wahls, MD, who had MS. She came to the same conclusion re mitochondrial dysfunction as it relates to MS (she also sometimes mentions PD). She decided to experiment with her diet and wound up curing herself. She went from being wheelchair bound to hiking/biking. Very inspirational. We loosely follow her Wahls Protocol, level 1 diet (slightly paleo). I think the better results are attained at her levels 2 and 3. We're working on it.
This is why I think it makes sense to take Tru Niagen (nicotinamide riboside B3). Google "nicotinamide riboside for mitochondria."
I watch de zach bush on ‘restore’ to fix gut/brain in relation to mithocrondria. Also’asea’
