Mate tea and PD

Anyone tried Mate tea? Looking into current diabetes drugs and treatment of PD got me thinking if there is anything I can be doing whilst waiting for the exenatide trials. A Google Search or two ended up with mate tea. Reads like good stuff but warns about maob inhibitor as possible interaction. If you drink mate tea are you also taking Azilect like me?

I didn't know that. I have yerba mate tea that I ordered by mail, but have only taken infrequently. I am on Azilect. I will probably not take it any more frequently than I have if it may interact. In any case the tea I received by mail did not have the same effect as when I first had a cup brewed for me in Santiago, Chile, where you find stems of it drying in the kitchen, to be ground when needed.
