Small unconscious times

I wonder if anyone else has this problem. This tends to happen when I have to go out to a social event and feel stress thinking about it. I haven't been that aware of it but according to my wife she can tell as I start making abnormal responses to conversation and then on the way in the car I totally black out, she can't rouse me for some time, says I do some strange gasping, then when I do come around I throw up. Strangely the party isn't as bad as I thought but still hate going.

Grower, stress certainly does strange things to us but I wonder if you take more or change your medication in some way as well.

I’d mention it to the GP next visit.

How strange, I was going to post the same sort of question, this has been happening to my husband for some time now but happens nearly every morning, he gets up has his breakfast, cant keep awake has another sleep for an hour and then keeps having what I would call absents, his eyes are open but no one is in, he makes gasping noises comes around and often then has an attack of dyskinesia?

He did it in the doctors surgury the other day she did not take a blind bit of notice, just carried on giving me some paper work.

I was wondering if this is a normal PD result or demencia as he has both.

Any of our very informed contributers have any ideas?

The Dr didn't say something? My wife said when I'm out cold I sometimes stop breathing/make big gasps sounds like what you're describing. I've had a trip to the hospital when it first happened as they thought I might have had a heart attack but nothing showed up. Has only happened maybe 4-5 times in a couple of years for me. She said I'm out for 4-5 mintes and she can't rouse me. My bloods are fine, I don't know.

If you weren't out for so long, I would suggest sleep apnea.

Sounds like seizures to me. Talk to your doctor now, don't wait.

Yes agree with you jj. The telltale comment is that your wife cant rouse you. If it was the absences or sleep attacks we can get with pd or with the pd meds, I think that you would waken as soon as you were touched.

Absences can be quite amusing combine them with poor sleep and you can find yourself saying the strangest things. I used to get them and would find myself answering questions that I had dreamed in an outwardly appearing awake state in the middle of a conversation, what i said was always way off topic.. Very random!

My neighbour mentioned to me this used to happen to her when she was younger and under stress especially in social situations. She would say weird things while out of it. She said they were petit mal. She is now 75 and doesn’t have them. She hasn’t got PD. The gasping sounds like a panic attack.

Have you been tested for LYME disease IGENEX even a negative result docent mean u haven't LYME . Start taking liquid CATS CLAW 1 drop in purified water 3 times a day and build up to 30 drops over the next 29 days .GO slow if u HERX as u know you are removing toxins after killing parasite or borrellia . Start on CATS CLAW in any case and if u react u know that u have LYME without the testing as u will feel better after each HERX .Just passing on this info as i have recovered from chronic lyme cheers
