I found one of the comments on that article very interesting. Brain injury can cause iron homeostasis to go out of whack, as I understand it. High iron is one of the hallmarks of PD.
TBI occurring more than 10 years prior to a PD diagnosis isn't related. There are multiple environmental causes linked to Parkinson's. You need to find your most likely root cause.
