A different approach to PD

The first step is to break the circle of fear around PD, the body can't start to heal until it is in removed from whatever it perceives to be a danger. This can come from many sources not only physical but from stored memories of past traumas or environmental.

The next stage is to restore the circle of healing that has been broken by social conditioning, the bodies natural reaction after any threat, accident or perceived danger is to go into a tremor. This serves many functions, it doesn't trigger until it feels safe or can no longer sustain the flight to safety. In nature the tremor is a visual warning to others of danger!

It is only then that the body goes into survival mode, and provides what is needed firstly the body shuts down anything that isn't needed to survive. If the body is past repair it will switch to another role and let's nature take over. If after a period of healing and rest the bodies natural response is to give two deep breath's that clear the trauma and resumes deep relaxed breathing okay mode is restored! This can be easily observed on a daily basis, clearing breaths are an essential part of meditation.

An animal in deep distress will crawl away to die to protect other's nature's way of stopping the spread of disease!

I think this associated with the high level of anxiety in PD and why socialising is an important part of recovery.

Once this is understood we can get a much clearer understanding of the path ford, rather than driving faster towards the edge of the cliff?
