I was dx Diagnosed 2012

My regimen:

The positives after B1: no bradykinesia, I cut my food with a knife, no button difficulties, brush my teeth now w/o needing elect brush, more strength. Getting in and out of bed, turning over is easier. No more (less) constipation. Parkinson's progression stopped. Suppressed most motor and non-motor symptoms...

My 8th year post diagnosis and have not fallen, not once, to the surprise of my neuro.

I'm happy for you Roy, but it seems fairly well documented that your parkinsons progression has not stopped.

Yes! I have been able to come off any Pd medication and have stayed off it for the past 18 years. At the age of nearly 86 I still live a normal life, although I still have Pd.

All I had done to bring this about was to stop going to the gym every day and start fast walking, three times a week.

If you want to learn more then let me know. What I did costs nothing,mI have been Pd-medication-free for the past 18 years.

How many others have been able to completely come off their PD meds thanks to fast walking, and stay off those meds more than 10 years post diagnosis?

I'm not asking about how many people are doing fast walking, but particularly how many people have been able to replicate your success, i.e completely come of meds and stay that way for an extended period?

Hi ChrisWF. I am unable to answer that question because very few people think of telling me how they are doing.

It took me 8 years to come off my meds. SO, anybody I have taught how to do the fast walking will probably take the same amount of time.

I am not being evasive, I just do not know of anybody who has got that far yet. I know of plenty who are doing well, but that is not your question.

Hi JohnPepper

it is astonishing what you have been able to do. An is wonderful what you are doing to share your experience and help the others.

If you don't mind, I would be interest to know something more about your period with meds. For this reason i've sent a private message to you with some questions (fell free to reply there or here, as you prefer)

best regards,

Somic67
