Does anyone know about hpylori? I've had a long standing history of gut/acid reflux issues. Test for h pylori came back positive. Dx with PD last year. Not on senimet or other meds yet. Do I treat the hpylori? Given the association with a healthy gut microbiome and pd, I'm reluctant to assault my gut with the triple antibiotic therapy needed to treat the h pylori. Suggestions anyone?
H pylori : Does anyone know about hpylori... - Cure Parkinson's
H pylori
If you do not treat it that bacteria will cause ulcers. You might think about treating it with clinical grade silver coliod Also known as the silver bullet. It has none of the side affects of antibiotics also kills candida yeast infections. I am not a medical practitioner but you can research this. Dr Bealer I believe wrote a book on it called the silver bullet . He claims he cured himself of Lyme decease with it.
On the contrary, getting rid of your H.Pylori looks like it might improve your motor function, according to this study:

After one year, those patients who had their H. Pylori infection cured dropped their motor scores (UPDRS-part III) on average from about 26 to 18, a drop of some 30%.
I would treat it. And after you do, get some nice probiotic to help replenish the good bacteria in your gut. And while you're at it, eat some fruits vegetables and nuts to help nourish the GOOD bacteria in your gut. Those foods have been firmly associated with a slower progression of Parkinson's.
New to Parkinson's, do you have a reference link to the information about fruits, vegetables and nuts slowing Parkinson's?

It's from the Journal of Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity. Dr. Laurie Mischley did a really nice job with this study.
Check FB for the group on gut-healing (I have just joined) and the moderator seems to be well versed in how to heal the issue. It is worth checking out..
Some very large percentage of the adult population has this bacteria. Like 60%. However a much smaller group develop stomach ulcers as a result. Left untreated, it has been linked with eventual development of stomach cancer. So get it treated. I believe the treatment is with antibiotics. I have PD plus just discovered I have stomach ulcers (causing severe anemia from blood loss). Just about to start treatment to get rid of this bacteria.
