Anybody taking rytary to counter fatigue, tired shoulder muscles, moving thru mud sensation? The side effects sound ghastly but my friend says it has restored her active life style...

What are you currently taking? Rytary is simply a different form of carbidopa/levodopa. It is an extended release form that is fairly new and many neurologists are not experienced with it.

I only take 1 mg of azlect, rasagiline, no carbidopa at this time.

If it was me, I would try a generic version of c/l, either immediate release or extended/controlled release first to see if they work. The old ones are a lot more affordable. I tried Rytary and it did not work well for me. I would have been resigned to paying for it (I was going to say, "happy," but it's REALLY expensive) had it worked.

Thanks for heads up, I resent how expensive azlect is....got it from india much cheaper, checked with pharmacychecker.com

I have been taking it for over a year now. My neuro switched me after I was experiencing sever dyskinesia and quicker off times with sinemet. Yes it is a different form of carbidopa/levodopa but whatever the difference between the two worked for me. I no longer have any of the previous issues I was experiencing. I don't know what side effects your speaking of but for me there were none.

My mom has late stage PD and on Rytary. It's the only drug that works for her at this point.
