The symptom I do not have.

Tremor is the one symptom i do not have. After seeing videos of PWP who have tremor it seems to me to be the worst. I believe my doctor was correct when he said i have a mild case of Parkinson's at times it sure don't feel that way to me. Does anyone here that has tremor get complete relief from it from meds or any other way. My symptoms are completely controlled (not 24/7 but at least 20 hours a day) by exercise and meds even after 12 years.

Yes. Tremor is awful. Consider yourself lucky! Not on meds yet....trying to stay on top of this with clean diet, few supplements, excercise and great attitude. This is my game plan.... I have my eye on MRI focused ultrasound for the future. I believe stem cell therapies are going to turn this disease around....and hoping I can hold on till this treatment becomes mainstream. I have to have hope or I might go under....in the meantime hanging in there and getting on with life with a smile. It's heartening to hear yr still doing so well after 12 years.

I do feel lucky. I have not met anyone with 12 years in with controlled symptoms. I just read that the meds can and do not work for hours or even days for no reason. This makes me feel better knowing it can happen even when i do every thing wright. I have more good days than bad. My wife is still with me after all the hell i put her through. She is the real hero here. I have pd but she has a husband with Pd and that is worse.

Hi! My mother suffers from what is called atypical PD... More precisely vascular parkinsons. I am including a link about that form of PD. But you may wish to find out what type of parkinsonism you have - it's not all the same! Good luck!

Hi,

I have PD for more than 9 years and take Madopar 300mg a day in last 1.5 years.

Tremor has gone,

Sometime when I am stressed or tired it comes back but it's very slight.

I attribute this to doing exercises daily (and luck).

Hi Bailey, I too don’t really have a tremor ,and apart from occasional shuffle am really well controlled with exercise and meds. After 6 years Still on relatively low dose of medsPremipexole 2.62, Azelect 1 mg,Madopar 25/100 once or twice a day depending what I’m doing.

Also take Warfarin after aortic valve replacement (after which my PD symptoms manifest themselves)

After 2 years of hand and arm pain nerveconduction tests show severe carpal tunnel. Once that’s sorted will be back to “normal”
