Yes. In the summer If I'm out in the het for just a few min., my body temperature seems to over exaggrate the heat and can go in to profuse sweating g, heart racing and have to get into ac. As soon as possible. Cold weather also have to layer on clothes where others around me do not. Also notice a few min before my Meds and after I experience warming.
Teafor22 I have similar issues with Temperatures and sweating, and it’s most disconcerting at times. It is my understanding that neuronal degeneration in PD can affect a person’s body temperature control system. Please ask your Neurologist about that, of course. Only a specialist can determine for sure, what is causing that problem. Each person is unique, so what may be causing me my problem, may not be the same thing causing your difficulties.
I think medical profession only guess at the reason. I'e heard at least one other pd patient relate similiar heat tolerance issues. Like some say if you meet one person with pd you met just one because our symptoms are varied. I'm looking into buying product for Ms patients from polarproducts.com for next summer. I happen to pick up their brochure from my neuros. Don't know if they work or not but summer is miserable for me. I wish I understod this better!
Have your thyroid and metabolism checked. They can also interact with the brain causing other PD symptoms if out of wack.
