I'm new here and I'm writing about my sister. She has both bipolar and Parkinsons and was diagnosed with the latter 3 years ago. She was getting better. Now she seems worse. She supposedly has one of the best neurologists in the country associated with the U of M in Miami, FL. She's been trying to exercise at the the PD Center and doing rock steady boxing. She is often nauseous in the mornings, throws up a lot. Getting stiffer. Does anyone know if all this throwing up could be from the Sinemet? Does anyone know of dual diagnosis doctors in the Boca Raton, FL area? Thanks so much,

I don't know anything about Sinemet personally, but other people on here have mentioned similar complaints about it. It's always good to do your own research, sometimes doctors don't have the ability to think outside the box.
Truthfully, it didn’t stop, so Dr gradually switched me to Miramex. The drys heaves have eased up but, but tremors were bad. Now, still working on dosage, but tremors are easing up unless I get keyed up or upset
Thanks Maxwell. What about sleep? Do you have sleep problems? My sister hasn't slept in weeks except an hour or two here and there. Her neurologist won't give her anything due to all the meds she already takes for Parkinsons and bipolar. Even over the counter stuff the pharmacist said she shouldn't take. I noticed some posts say Benedryl works but that has the opposite effect on her. Any advice? Thanks.
Thanks Nancy, and you sure got that right about the doctors! I'm really losing faith in the medical system in this country. It's a joke. It's all corporate America too run by the big pharmaceutical companies. Sickening, literally!
