yes...I usually stay turning from side to side at nite. It helps to make 2 fists and turning fingers upward, roll head back and forth over them
I once had a nutritionist who said that lymph flow stagnation can accumulate in the back of the neck and cause this kind of pain, it may also then radiate up into the head causing headaches. (I find MSG ingestion, in excess will also cause this, for example eating a nice chinese meal) sleeping on my back does seem to make it more likely, b/c flexing the spine/ pressure off the spine, can help move lymph flow along, which is an exercise you can do (Yoga exercise is ideal). the relief isn't immediate, as you're doing the flex, but after 30 min or so you may find the pain has disappeared, and suddenly you realize it. Remember, lymph has no pump and depends on body/muscle movement for its circulation. I have an idea that this is one reason some get so much parkinson's pain reiief from any kind of general exercise/even walking, which is difficult to maintain consistently. Hope this may help some of you.
