My PD physician has recommended Duopa for my treatment. Wondering if anyone has had the procedure and what do you think?

DUOPA? Has anyone had the procedure
Duodopa...met with a recipient last year...age 75, male, oral dosage sinemet was not as efficient as might be...opted for duodopa...monitored by his wife...wears his pump on his waist with a tube into his stomach...a little leakage is manageable...symptom management has improved his voice, balance and gait and he seemed satisfied with the added issues of dealing with the pump and the medication management...I believe the procedure is reversible...in Canada covered by health system. We opted not to proceed but would continue to manage PD symptoms by closer attention to meds, smaller dosage amounts, more frequently (3 x day to 5 x day)...awaiting the inhaler to improve symptom management. A personal choice.
thank you. I am doing the same with more frequent dosages of oral L-dopa to see if that helps
Current dosage 0.75mg pramipexole at 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm and
l-dopa 100/25 at 730am, 1030am, 130pm, 430pm
staggered seems to help...taken b4 or after meals...
my pwp tries to keep to this schedule
issues are balance, gait, dyskinesias, voice, freezing (subsequent falls with loss of balance),
