Yes and flakey too. Sinimet helped a bit.
There seem to be a number of "facial" features with some people who have Parkinsons. I have heard of (and briefly experienced) "red face." You appear like you're blushing or have a sunburn. That went away and never returned. For me its facial sweating... It seems almost that if I "think about" exercising, I start sweating. And if I do actually exercise (which I do, I ride an exercycle the equivalent of 10 miles a day, six days a week) even wearing a headband doesn't control things.
Being of Italian descent, I have always had a greasy face . . . since being diagnosed with PD, my skin (face and body) is extremely flaky . . . it looks like it is snowing around me when I pull off a T shirt, etc. I've started using lots of lotion, and that certainly is helping. After I do the very difficult task of shaving, then showering, my face becomes extremely flaky as it dries. Is this PD related? Maybe, but I also know that dry skin is also a part of aging.
Hi, i have read where dry skin is also a side effect of pd.
Cleanse regularly through the day. And ouster ise . Use head and shoulders shampoo ,good for head eyebrows eyelids eArs
Me too and dry eyes
Yes to most of above! But I have always had oily skin since a child. My eye doctor says dry eyes from age because of decrease of tear duct production. Dry mouth because of medications and otherwise drooling. So yes and no unless a science study is made stat but there are way too many things to be factored into but its fun to do these little surveys. You would believe it took me long time to write this out ? About 20 minutes at least Yes I do have PD !
