Off-topic holiday-related would anybody like to exchange favorite cookie recipe?

I used to love to cook my husband is doing most of the cooking now. He's doing a wonderful job. If no one is going to be upset I would love to post a cookie recipe. Mary

I like this one; only problem is I cannot do the "rub butter into flour" bit any more so friend does it.

Shortbread

1 1/2 oz icing sugar

1 oz cornflour

3 1/2 oz plain flour

1 Tablespoon ground almonds

4 1/2 oz butter

Mix flours and sugar, add almonds, rub in butter

Roll out or press into 7 inch round shallow tin

Mark into 8 sections

Bake 200 c for about 15 -18 mins, but check its not too brown too quickly.

•¾ c. butter

•½ c. brown sugar

•½ tsp. salt

•1 large egg

•1½ tsp. vanilla extract

•2 c. all-purpose flour

Ingredients

•1 Recipe Cookie Bars

•¾ c. caramel sauce

•¼ c. toffee bits

•¼ c. broken pretzels

•½ c. toasted coconut

•4 oz. bittersweet chocolate

Directions

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray 13- by 9-inch metal baking pan with nonstick baking spray; line pan with foil, then spray foil.

2.With mixer on medium-high speed, beat butter, brown sugar and salt until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla. With mixer on low speed, beat in flour until just combined. Transfer to prepared pan. With lightly floured hands, spread into even layer.

3.Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until deep golden brown around edges. Cool completely on wire rack.

4.Spread crust with caramel sauce. Top with toffee bits, broken pretzels and toasted coconut. Drizzle with melted bittersweet chocolate. Chill to set (1 1/2 hours). Cut into 2-inch squares.
