Does anyone here take tumeric/curcumin as a supplement? Any benefits?

I take Protandim that has curcumin in it & I feel it helps my overall feeling. When I first started taking it I felt great for about a week or two, like I didn't have PD, but most of the symptoms came back slowly, but I'm still taking it thinking it's helping in some way. It's expensive though. I've done some trial & error with it & I keep going back to it.
tumeric is one of THE BEST THINGS ANYONE can do for their bodies... and yes i take it
I take it together with some others supplements: CoQ10, vit. K2, NAC, vit. B1, magnesium. I hope all together may help to keep me healthy
Yes-it eases the pain in high doses, I like MedCure!
I have been taking curcumin for about 4 months with evening pills but haven't noticed any changes. I do feel that I have a good memory and it may preserve it. I like recipes that include cumin and try them. I have also started using more mustard on hot dogs etc. because I realize it has turmeric in it which is part of the same cumin family I think. Maybe the idea of taking the curcumin etc. has a placebo effect and increases my dopamine or gives me a calmer feeling.
I take both turmeric powder (1 teaspoon per day) and cumin seed (same), but don't notice any difference after 3 months. Apparently, the bioavailability is increased if you add piperine (black pepper) to the mix.
I take them because it is argued that they both slow the fibrillation of alpha-synuclein, the process that leads to Lewy bodies, and, possibly, cell death. I would consider it a result, if taking these foods slowed progression by 10%. Assuming that the normal rate of progression is 10% per year, this regimen would after a year show a benefit (less decline) of 1%, which is smaller than the noise in my observations of myself.
