Neupro patch

Has anyone used the Neupro Patch? My husband has just had this prescribed for him. He has tried Sinement and Requip but says that both make him feel bad so he stops. I do see some change when he stops, like more freezing and garbled words and lots of stiffness.

I take sinement as well as the Neurpro patch. I am very careful with the sinemet as too much causes uncomfortable dyskensia as well as affecting my speech. I become tongue tied and have severe stuttering problem. I also am on the Neupro Patch. I started out on a 2mg patch and now am up to an 8mg patch. I feel better on the patch...less freezing and overall well being.

I started the patch and made it up to 10 mg but eventually had to switch to ropinerole tabs because the patch made me so constantly nauseous/vomiting I lost 20 lbs in the 1st mo. For some reason the pills didnt. Every one reacts differently. Good luck

My husband uses this patch. He is at 6mg, sinemet, and amantadine. The patch is great since he has been on it his walking has improved 90% no more freezing no more stumbling and walking and more alert and clear headed. Big difference.

Thanks to all who have replied. My husband is only on 1mg at tis time and still is having freezing, so we're trying to see if the Dr. will let him increase. I appreciate your time!!
