Sleep Apnea causes us to stop breathing during the night for a period. CO2 (carbon dioxide accumulates in the blood, repeatedly, and that affects the kidneys and heart. That harms them and can lead to diabetes, too. Sleep Apnea can be caused by tissue in the tongue + throat, but there's a second kind: central sleep apnea, which originates with something not working in the brain. All told, because of its seriousness, sleep apnea needs to be dealt with, with a sleep study. Do that sooner rather than later....
Hi Sghaldia. I am not a doctor. I do have Pd and I do suffer with constipation. I can tell you that this is due to the fact that the Pd brain no longer enacts the process called peristalsis in the intestines. This process massages the intestines and moves the stool downwards towards the anus. If this does not work then we get constipation. If you do regular walking, it does help with this problem. Also, drinking more water also helps.
I don't believe that diabetes has anything to do with Pd. Diabetes is more realated to diet and exercise. For more info on these subjects, relating to Pd, go to my website, reverseparkinsons.net.
