Hi all. I'm looking for some help in trying to reduce my pain meds mostly from knee replacement but also from over pain related to stiffness. I'm taking 30 mg of oxicotin 2x a day. But it make me feel horrible at the same time it relieves my pain.

I would suggest Gabapentin aka. Neurontin. Works great for nerve pain of all sorts. Non narcotic or habit forming. May make you sleepy. Best to you.
GO TO A PAIN MGMT.DR. CHECK OUT A COUPLE OF THEM. TRUST ME U'LL BE GLAD U DID. AND YOU CAN RESEARCH THEM ON HEALTH.COM. GOOD LUCK.
Hi there,
you say your pain is from knee surgery & from stiffness which I assume is PD related. If you could give us some basic information it might make helping easier. Your age & gender, how long you have been dxd & the PD meds you take would be a good starting point.
My doc was just telling me oxycodone is not as effective for pain as some other types of meds: neurontin, Lyrica, Cymbalta, and one she just prescribed for me: noratriptilene.
The pain really gets old, I know that for sure. I'm hoping this new medication will help.
