I just got my blood work report. Everything normal except low on Vitamin D. Started supplements that day.

I have been taking liquid vitamin D3 for years and my levels of D are fine. Just diagnosed with PD this past summer. I've heard that D deficiency is common in the general population.

Vitamin D doesn't come from food, it comes from sunshine. I'm deficient too. Most of the population is. Sunscreen stops us absorbing vitamin D.

Google it. I seem to recall there is an association. My GP has me on D3 supplementation and I try to take it but it makes me nauseous.

D3 is pretty standard. Get blood test every year. Find out the number (they might tell you it is "normal", when it is very low. Regular doses of D3 supplements don't work; D3 has to be "jump started" with 10,000 IUs a day for several months. BioTech d3-5 is on Amazon. It took a year, but I got my vit D from 17 to 75, and I feel much better.
