Does anyone have any useful tips for getting through weighted fire doors.?

I should say..im in the process of buying a flat but the entrance to the. Building has a heavy door. Pushing it is ok. Pulling it and holding it while you get yourself through plus bag is a problem. The flat is fine, ground floor etc..

This is a problem all over New York City. I always try, telling myself i NEED weight bearing exercise. Or smile and ask a stranger to help hold it open. Many are sweet and want to do more.

If all else fails try this ''Abracadabra open seseme'' It probably wont work, but you won't know until you try it.

A big problem for me but people usually try to help when they see me struggle.

My major obstacle is stairs.
