Foot pain?

I have been experiencing pain in my feet/toes which I previously attributed to arthritis but in reading some of the message boards could it be attributed to PD?

It is possibly a response to a change in your gait pattern aggravating arthritic changes that are very common as we age. It's also possible that it is a direct problem from dystonia which creates spasms in the muscles of the foot cramping the toes down. This is very distinct.

Last Wednesday i had 3 procedures on my left foot: 1 to straighten a bunion, 1 to shorten & realign the next 2 toes & 1 to free off my 2 remaining toes. the final 2 were to correct the 'clawing' effect caused by PD. I had previously had a cortisone injection to partly address the PD contractures & on the strength of this success with the accompanying exercises the surgeon agreed to the whole package. Bunion surgery is like gold dust around here but the surgeon told me that he is prepared to work with patients who will work with him. The pain has been nowhere near as bad as I been warned & I scoot around the house in a special boot until net Tuesday when I hope the plaster across the toes will come off. Don't just accept hat because symptoms are common in PwP you have to put up with them - give the medics a chance.....you never know!

thanks! I did have bunion surgery about 20 years ago. I know what you are going through. I see my neuro in 2 weeks, so we will confer about this.
