Yes, I take Gaberpentin for acute sciatica. Initially, I found I kept falling asleep, but this has eased now, though the tablets are not lasting as long as they initially did. I have slight balance problems, but cannot directly attribute these to Gaberpentin. I spoke to my pharmacist and GP before taking them, but cannot really say that the list of side effects have affected me, at least not so far.

I do,i have pain in both sides which i,v had for over 6 months and despite seeing various specialists they cant seem to get to the bottom of it and as yet the gaberpentin are having no effect and i,m wary about increasing the dose even though my gp said they arent addictive.

I spoke to a friend who took them for neck and jaw pain and he eventually got up to 3400mg a day.

That is a high dosage. I won't take such a high dosage. They were prescribed by my Parkinsons Consultant, though the pain is not connected to Parkinsons.

Gabapentin is a very good drug. My Neuro. has written me an RX for 2 four times per day, but that's crazy, so I take them as needed along with my Sinemet. I have had no bad side effects, maybe sleepy, that's ok. I would

suggest this drug for nerve pain and any PD patients.
