I expect you should be taking a drug with Levodopa in it - Mirapxin did not help my staggering like Madopar / Sinemet etc does.

It sound to me like you need more help from professionals. Is it easy for you to get to see your specialist? I'm not sure where you are in the world and I know things vary.

Yes I've just noticed an earlier post from you, from 8 months ago was complaining of the same thing. You must seek out professional assistance. No point in worrying about side effects of Levodopa based drugs. The chances are you won't have any and if you do then stop taking it. Normally you should stop taking PD drugs slowly to avoid NMS but if you have only taken whatever drug for a short time and at a low dose the chances are that you won't have a problem with NMS.

When my Madopar dose is worn off I stagger about a lot , having to hold on to things to avoid falling. These drugs with Levodopa (Sinemet, Madopar, Stalevo Co-beneldopa) will help you enormously. Take a pill of a strong enough dose and after an hour you will feel wonderful.

This does assume that you have PD rather than other Parkinsonism ilnesses such as PSP or MSA. These illnesses do not respond to Levodopa very well. They may help for a little while but soon loose their efficacy. With PD Levodopa will help for some years.

please be wary of running out of edications as sudden withdrawal from ipd meds is not advised
