do meds create more allergy problems??

is it age or meds or what but my allergies are getting really bad, i never have been allergic to cats and now i am.. is it possible medication makes it worse or just my body is changing with age?

Hello LizaJane,

I have had severe allergies most of my life and also allergy induced asthma. I have done the shots, air purifier, in my last house I had a whole house purifier.

My allergist told me that some people's allergies get worse after age 40. I have taken so much allergy medication, then prednisone, inhalers, etc. It is not a fun road.

Funny thing for me, my neuro has me on Azilect and for whatever reason, I have only had one sinus infection and one time that I had to use my rescue inhaler since I have been on Azilect. I asked the dr. if he knew a correlation, he did not.

This is just my personal experience, but atleast this disease has "helped" me in one small way!
