For me it was just a blood test.
Your doctor has to write you a order then you go to the hospital
Yes, I took 2 tests for heavy metals, one was a simple bloodwork test with no preparation, the other was a "challenge test" where I was given a metal leaching agent to see how much mercury, lead, cadmium was coming out. The simple test showed normal levels, the other 8 times normal levels.
Ask your doctor about the test. I was tested about 13 years ago, so I'm really not sure. I think it was called a heavy medal blood test.
I had some sort of eye test to rule out Wilson's disease, which is an excess of copper that causes PD-like symptoms.
A toxicologist can test a sample of your hair for most heavy metals, and others require a blood test.
