Thanks Wayne. It just drives me crazy as well. It doesn't have to be a lot of food, but at least once a day they hit and it isn't soft little hiccups. Not lady-like at all! Really embarrassing JennyR

I read this to my friend who's father had PD (he has passed away), she said he would do the same thing. It is another "autonamic nervous system" action...I have not had it happen with the PD (yet), but when I was in elementry school it happend a lot. After doing lots of things to try and make them stop, I found one method that worked for me.

If you can bend over at the waist and drink water, this worked for me. Sometimes it took several attempts. I am not sure it would work now because if I bend over at the waist I get dizzy from the orthostatic hypotension, if you do not have this problem it might work.

Thanks Susieo1. One is never quite sure whether small things like hiccups are worth mentioning. Drinking liquid upside down, as it were, used to stop them immediately. They seem to have become quite feisty and have a mind of their own now. will give it another try.
