Anyone have dystonia and had Brain stimulation surgery?

My husband is a Vietnam Vet 1967-1971...Navy...he has dystonia and has had brain stimulation surgery this year. He has applied for VA benefits and denied. Anyone else have this illness? What does he do next? Thanks

get a lawyer and don't give up. thank him for his service

Look for an attorney approved by Social Security. He may qualify for Social Security Disability Income benefits. What's the work history?

There is no way he should be denied, although there is a long process you must go through in order to be qualified. I am scheduled to have it in the next few months, but it has taken a long time to get to this point. Maybe they're denying him because he hasn't gone through all the pre-surgery testing yet. You need a good neurologist.
