Need to choose between Embrel or Humeria?? I'm new here so bear with me!

I have RA & Sjogrens, also a slew of other issues! Am on lots of drugs. Insurance won't approve Remicade Infusions, which Dr. Ordered. So I need to choose between Embrel or Humeria. Anyone on either of these? Info/side effects on both seems to be scary! Help!!!

Hi I have try both and none worked for me I had a allergic reaction on both,  the difference is that   Enbrel is once a week and humira is every two weeks, we all respond diferent to medicine try it it may worke ... But  in order to get Remicade approved you need to try this two or at least one, I'm about to start Remicade next week,  good luck and I hope that you make the right sesicion for you.

Thank you for responding. I think I will go for the every 2 wks. I already have to inject Metholtraxate every wk. I've heard better stories about Humira too! Hope all goes well with your Remicade.👍🏼

I was on Humaria the longest, it helped me. Enbrel I had a allergic reaction to it.

I'm hearing close to the same responses about Embrel. I pretty sure I'm going to go with the Humaria. Thanks for your advice!

Tried both....embrel was no help. Humera worked for awhile. Everyone is different but I would definitely choose the humera. Good luck!

I was put on humira when mtx failed. It was no help at all. Once I was switched to enbrel, I had an immediate, positive response. Enbrel has worked wonders for me. I had site reactions for several weeks, but started injecting in my abdomen. That made all the difference. I am very satisfied for over a year now. I take Sulfasalazine along side with no bad side effects so far!

Both of these meds have patient support programs for people who have insurance covering a portion of the medicine. The drug company picks up the difference between what insurance covers and what you owe. I have used both Humira and Enbril and paid 0 dollars. These are not the only biologics that participate in this program. These drugs are so costly and have lots of warnings so patient support makes it a little more comfortable to be on a biologic.

My Dr. ordered the Hum. & the company that distributes it call me. Humeria is 7,000.00$ per month!!! Insurance will pay all but 1,700.00$ There's no way I can pay that a month! How did you get it for 0?. They want us to take the risk of the crazy side effects & pay outrageous prices.....

The insurance company have a different idea about these biologicis,,,,they paid for 1/2 of the Remicade but not on Enbrel or Humaria.....explain that!!

in reply to9914

They won't pay for Remicade until I try the others. Your situation is just opposite mine??? This world is nuts😳
