Hi, does anyone know if Budesonide affects the covid vaccination? I can't find a clear answer to this, and would appreciate any help.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I think with Steroids anything over 20mg is a key number. Not sure what your dose is and if you're taking anything else but Budesonide on it's own, short term, wouldn't class you as clinically vulnerable. Even though it is an immunosuppressant, it's more gut specific whereas pred is more systemic. I think it also depends on if the disease you have is in an active flare

Best to check with your GP.

Thanks for your reply. Have only taken Budesonide for two days, so have decided to stop, and see how things go. My pharmacist said there is little information about this, although she could not see any dangerous contraindications when she checked. But I think I will err on the safe side.
